Service terms
Last updated October 27, 2026. These terms are between you and Jordan Wilson, doing business as Own Your Stays ("we", "us"), based in Texas.
What we build
A direct booking website for your property and an owner app, set up from the answers in your onboarding checklist. The features included are the ones listed on our pricing page on the day you pay the deposit.
Price and payment
- The build price is shown at checkout and locked when you pay the deposit. The launch price of $999 applies to the first 10 builds; after that the price is $1,995.
- You pay half to start. The balance is due when your site is ready to go live, after you review the preview.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Refunds
The deposit is refundable in full until you submit your onboarding checklist. Once you submit it, design work starts and the deposit is non-refundable. The balance is only charged after you approve the preview.
Your part
- Give us accurate information: prices, fees, taxes, rules, policies and property details. Your site charges guests what you tell us to charge.
- Send only photos, logos and text you have the right to use.
- Open and keep your own Stripe account. Guest payments go to you, and you are responsible for refunds, disputes and chargebacks under your own policies.
- You are responsible for short-term rental permits, collecting and paying lodging and sales taxes, and your rental agreement with guests. We set up what you ask for; we do not give legal or tax advice.
Hosting
Hosting and calendar sync are included at no monthly fee while your site is active. We may change hosting providers as long as your site keeps working the same way. We work to keep your site online but cannot promise it will never be down, including when a provider we rely on has an outage.
Calendar sync
Your site reads your Airbnb and Vrbo calendars on a schedule, and those platforms read your site's calendar on their own schedules. Sync lowers the chance of a double booking but cannot remove it, because the platforms control when they update. The owner app alerts you to new direct bookings so you can block them on each platform.
Care plans and updates
- Care plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Cancel any time; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Change requests on a care plan are unlimited and handled one at a time, in the order received. They cover changes to your existing site and owner app: text, photos, prices, rules, pages and settings. New features or a redesign are quoted separately.
- Without a plan, a batch of changes is $150 flat. A batch is one list of changes sent at the same time, with the same scope as above.
Who owns what
You own your domain, your Stripe account, your guest data and the content you send us. We own our booking software, design system and code; you may use them for your property for as long as your site runs with us.
Third-party services
Your site works with services we do not control, including Airbnb, Vrbo, Stripe, Cloudflare and your domain registrar. Their outages, fees and rule changes are outside our control.
Limits
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost bookings, lost profits or indirect damages.
Ending service
You can stop using our hosting at any time by telling us in writing. We can end service if payments are not made or these terms are broken, after giving you notice by email.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
